grilled peach burrata salad + tips for a lifestyle food photo shoot
Food and drink brands are always looking for food photographers and creators to help them capture a lifestyle feel in their content. The better your photos are able to tell a story while still being product focused, the more youβre going to draw your audience in AND make brands happy.
Here are some key tips for how we crafted on of my favorite summer lifestyle images of the peach burrata salad π
Lighting Setup: We used soft artificial light to create a very even, natural light so the photo didnβt feel overly produced. This light from Aputure is out go-to but this light is another great budget-friendly option.
Props: Props are key in your lifestyle setup. Incorporate elements that would naturally be in your scene like candles, additional food or drinks, towels, coasters, and glasses. This tablescape setup is one of my favorites! You also want to include some intentional imperfections, such as cheese oozing off the plate or peppercorns tastefully scattered around the scene.
Actions: Capturing actions that would naturally happen at your scene like cheersing, pouring, and serving is the biggest element that will really bring your image to life.
π The grilled peach and burrata salad is such a great party starter! Pair it with a white wine for a seriously perfect combo!
